Tyra Thomas... His Advocate A few years ago, Tyra finally succumbed to cancer, but not before spending the last years of his life putting his beliefs and God's own instructions to him down on paper, in a religious work that will change the lives of millions. In fact, prior to the final "death" that finally took him from us, Tyra had been clinically dead twice before, only to bounce back and continue to impact the lives of many, many people, including mine. From his office chair, while dealing with the debilitating effects of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Lupus and a Cancer that he wasn't even aware he had until minutes before his passing, Tyra worked tirelessly at writing a book that he knew would change the way true Christians interact with God. After almost 10 years of tireless work, the book was first printed. With the publishing of his 600+ page book, "The Third Covenant of Jesus Christ, According to His Advocate, Tyra", I believe he accomplished the mission God assigned to him - even if it cost him the last years of his life.
Before Tyra passed on, "The Third Covenant" was self-published by his wife Sandra's small company, Sandyco Enterprises. However, Tyra was so involved in talking one-on-one with people he felt needed his book, he had little time and energy left for getting it on the market - other than giving it away to people he met online. In the early days of "pay-per-click" advertising on search engines, he soaked up all the clicks he could from people searching for "painless suicide", "god hates me", "abortion", and similar terms that were "calls for help". He was trying to connect with the people who he so much wanted to save from lives of misery, addiction, and failure. He always made sure to bid the highest in this effort, so people who needed him would see his message first. He often spent hours on end talking to these people on the phone and by email, and he sent them a copy of the book - paying for the cost of postage out of his own savings. His mission, quite literally, bankrupted him. Other than the first-run printing of 250 copies of "The Third Covenant", it has never been published again - until now. Why am I doing this? With the business fundamentals that Tyra taught me before he passed away, I have been able to create a very lucrative business for myself as an Internet marketer and marketing consultant. Without him, my life would be very different right now. Tyra's widow, Sandra, is in dire need of a reliable income (right now she lives only on Social Security benefits and her dwindling savings). She doesn't require much, and this book has never been about money. It is, and will remain, about getting it into the hands of as many Christians as possible - people who will be spiritually transformed by absorbing this information and putting it into action in their own lives. I have agreed to publish the book on Sandra's behalf, as a tribute to what this man has done for me. I owe him my life as I know it (even the wonderful, beautiful woman who is now my wife would not be, were it not for Tyra's influence). At least that was the cover price... as I said before - Tyra usually gave it away, and shipped it at his own expense. Let me tell you now, at times The Third Covenant may seem unbelievably simple to you, and at other times deeply complex. It will offend many. This happens when we use our current theological customs and beliefs as our frame of reference. This is a mistake. The Third Covenant stands on its own merits. It is unique. It should not be judged by any existing Christian faith system. This requires an objectivity that few people are prepared to undertake. The language is contemporary English and written for the 21st century reader.
