Chapter One The Voice of the Lord This writing is “The Third Covenant of Jesus Christ.” It is THE COVENANT that Christ made with each of us almost two thousand years ago. The early Apostles and Disciples knew and understood Christ. They were in total submission to the Lord. As time has passed the Covenant has been forgotten by many, and kept secret by others. I have been called, by the Lord, to restore His church to the earth.
The Lord God has commanded me to be His Advocate. He has commanded that I reveal Christ’s Third Covenant to the world. He commands that I teach Christ’s message across the face of the earth.
This is a fearful journey. There is no neutral ground. There will be wide-spread rejection of God’s Word. The Word of God is contained in The Third Covenant of Jesus Christ. It will be denounced by many. The Covenant has remained secret for hundreds of centuries. It is not universally known, understood, taught, and/or practiced. It is ignored.
The beloved of Christ will hear His Words and rejoice. They shall be vindicated and be delivered up to Jesus Christ. They shall receive the answer to prayers and to miracles. They will receive forgiveness for their sins and see everlasting life in their Father’s House! I have not been sent to save the scholars and the intellectuals. God has made this clear. They are the Sadducees and Pharisees of the 21st century. With all of their knowledge, they will not be able to save themselves. They will lead their people to the River of the Second Death. History will repeat itself. Christ was persecuted by these people. I shall be persecuted as well.
Where do we begin? First let me tell you where we do not begin!
It does not matter if you are a sinner! You could be doing drugs or a drunk. You might be having premarital sex, or be an adulterer, or even a prostitute. You might have the foulest mouth in the world. You might be in jail. IT DOES NOT MATTER!
If the world has passed judgment upon you, it does not have the right! Judgment shall be passed on you by a just God. The world does not have the right to judge man. Only Jesus Christ has the right and power to judge the hearts of men. Do not misunderstand; there is a difference between judgment and punishment for our sins.
When Christ walked on this earth He never condemned or accused. He pointed out what was wrong, and then invited that person to change his or her life. What Christ did was out of LOVE! Christ did not demand that Mary Magdelene stop being a prostitute! He did not say to her, “Mary, if you do not stop being a prostitute, I will never forgive you!” or, “Mary if you stop being a prostitute I will love you!” CHRIST ALWAYS LOVES US, EVEN WHEN WE SIN! HE LOVES US WHEN WE DO NOT LOVE OURSELVES! HE EVEN LOVES US WHEN WE DO NOT LOVE HIM! He is waiting for YOU right now. Let us begin this journey of faith with these facts. NO MATER WHO OR WHAT WE ARE, HE IS WAITING FOR US! HE OFFERS FREEDOM FROM SIN, EVERLASTING LIFE, HELP WITH OUR PRAYERS, AND SHOWS US THE WAY TO MIRACLES. God has given us The Third Covenant to help:
HE IS COMING TO HELP YOU! Many parts of The Third Covenant will shock, shame, amaze, accuse, admonish, beg, and threaten many of you into changing your ways. Sometimes you will feel offended. At other times you will feel as if you are being talked down to or being belittled. This is not by personal intent or desire. My nature is to sell people on an idea. It is not to beat them over the head. I know human nature well enough to know that it is a sure road to disaster. There is an old expression, “If the shoe does not fit, don’t wear it.” There is also another expression, “He who becomes angry has something to hide.” At times The Third Covenant may seem unbelievably simple and at other times deeply complex. It will offend many. This happens when we use our current theological customs and beliefs as our frame of reference. This is a mistake. The Third Covenant stands on its own merits. It is unique. It should not be judged by any existing Christian faith system. This requires an objectivity that few people are prepared to undertake. The language is contemporary English and written for the 21st century reader. It is deeply evangelical. IT IS INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT! These words are GOD’S WORDS! Why did God pick me to bring Christ’s message to the world? The answer is far too simple. I do not know. My great love of God came from my parents. When I was five I prayed to God for a miracle, a miracle in its true sense. It was answered within that instant! These miracles have followed me all my life. I have read numerous different translations of the Bible. I compare. I take notes. I am spiritually well-read. I am a lay minister. I am not a college graduate. I am not a professional writer trying to earn a living. None of these things qualify me to present The Third Covenant of Jesus Christ. I would have expected that The Third Covenant would be written by people like Billy Graham or the Roman Catholic Pope. I do not feel worthy. I am a sinner. I have no formal theological training. I am not a writer. MOST OF ALL, I DID NOT WANT TO WRITE THIS BOOK!
I have all the qualities of any normal person. I was afraid of what people might think. I did not want to lose family members or friends. I did not want to subject myself nor my family to ridicule, controversy or hardship. I did not want to hurt anyone. I did not want to make anyone angry. There comes a point where grievous anger becomes a sin. I did not want the sinful anger of any reader on my conscience.
I have wanted and given my service to God. I have always had a strong feeling that God had a calling for me. I spent a lifetime looking for the answer. I may have asked God thousands of times, “Lord, open my mind and show me how I may serve You.” God answered my prayer. It was to write this book. It was not at all what I expected! I BEAR WITNESS: THIS IS THE WORD OF THE LORD! It is a long story. I will relate it to you as we go along. You will be asked to take many leaps of faith. This is the first one. As a reader you may stop at any time with nothing lost. On the other hand, you may proceed and enter into the light of the Lord’s Truth.
This book took several years to complete. It was not written in the manner of any other book, with the possible exception of some books of the Bible. In the normal writing process, a writer starts with an idea or subject. This is then broken down into chapters that will express the thoughts and ideas of the book. A research phase begins for each chapter. Many sources are checked and re-checked. Most books have a bibliography at the end of the book. The more structured and advanced books are complex. They have footnotes that will guide the reader to the original source. This includes page and line numbers. Paragraphs are written which explain the chapter. Sentences are written to express the paragraph. Grammar and punctuation are employed to polish the sentence. The process usually starts over again, moving back to the subject of the book. Many writers do this five or more times before they are satisfied with their manuscript. The writer then sends his book to the publisher. If the book is accepted, the publisher almost always insists on further editing. The writer must be willing to have his ideas changed or even corrupted.
I did not know this until The Third Covenant was written. I did not know any better. I was blinded to it! A publisher would never accept this book. The Covenant was written the other way around! Complete with horrible grammar and bad punctuation. Reading the Bible quickly alerts us to the same problem.
How did I receive the Word of the Lord? It was, first and foremost, by prayer. SPECIAL PRAYER! I mentioned the many miracles I have experienced in my life. Almost every miracle was a DIRECT RESULT OF PRAYER. Paul tells us about prayer:
All of our lives are filled with problems, trials and tribulation. Most of us become worried, upset and/or depressed by our lives. I am one of the worst worriers. Our first reaction is to lose our patience. Second, we tend to blow things out of proportion. Our third reaction is we seek MAN’S SOLUTIONS TO GOD’S PROBLEMS. Few of us develop patience as a result of our problems. Each time we accept the Will of God, our strength of character and trust in God’s deliverance is increased. When our prayers are answered, our hope, our faith and our trust in God becomes strong and steady. We will then know how much God loves us and He will send us The Holy Spirit. We must accept our problems as being good for us and place ourselves in God’s Hands. By our TRUSTING, He answers our prayers. SUBMIT TO THE WILL OF GOD! As a general statement, most people do not know how to pray. Most people refuse to submit to God’s Will and quickly lose patience. This is why prayers and requests for miracles are not answered. Those who know how to pray submit to the Will of God and wait patiently for the Lord’s answer. This opens a dialogue of prayer with God. This dialogue helps our spirits to discern the Will of God. It deepens our prayers and may even change them. God may not always give us what we want. He gives us what is best for us. He may not answer at the time of our choosing. He will answer it at the right time. This is why we must be patient. Each time God answers a prayer or grants a miracle, we experience an increase in our hope, faith, trust, and love of God. It completely changes our relationship with God. WE MUST ASK GOD TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR US! WE MUST TELL GOD WE ARE WILLING TO WAIT FOR THE RIGHT ANSWER!
Almost all contemporary prayers concern secular matters. We expect answers in our time frame, which is NOW! WE ARE TELLING GOD WHAT WE WANT AND NOT ASKING GOD WHAT IS BEST FOR US. If our prayers ARE NOT in unison with GOD’S WILL, they will usually go unanswered. All of these things tend to reinforce our failure to pray properly. They may even destroy our hope, faith or trust in God. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
We must submit to God’s Will, not ours. We must place our hope, trust, faith, and patience in Him. When we pray properly and believe as we should, we will KNOW THEY HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. Such prayers are usually answered with great speed. Sometimes we have to look hard for the answer. If we seek, we will find. Each time this happens we get stronger. God imparts more of the Holy Spirit to us. Every time God touches our lives, we become stronger in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit teaches us all truth and reminds us of everything Christ has said. This is true for all people. No one needs to read the Bible to know this truth. Did the early Christians have a Bible?
When we are strong and steady, God can and does speak to us. He speaks to us through our thoughts, trials, tribulations, prayer, chance encounters, visions, answers to prayers, miracles, and ethereal manifestations. He may come to us in bodily form. Most frequently, He sends Angels. These are the supports and references of The Third Covenant. Whatever has happened in my life has been recorded, both the good and the bad. I ended up where most authors began. The only exception is the Word of the Lord--the Bible. I had words looking for sentences. There were sentences looking for paragraphs. Paragraphs were looking for chapters. Chapters were that were looking for a book. This is the source and reference of The Third Covenant. God is my guide.
It explains why some things are repeated to the point of redundancy. God wanted it that way. It is the way God wanted The Third Covenant presented to the world. It is how I received it from God. I do not question God’s Will.
I COMMIT! I SURRENDER. HIS WILL IS MY WILL. What I am saying may sound both inconceivable and impossible. This includes many intellectuals, scholars and those who are wise to the ways of the world. Let not their appearance, their polished answers or their titles mislead you! At the close of Christ’s ministry there were only about 3,000 Christians! Did the nation of Israel believe? Did the Romans believe? Did the Syrians believe? How many times did they see Christ perform miracles? How many refused to believe Him? They say, “Seeing is believing!” Well, those people saw and they still did not believe. Even when the Apostles told Thomas about the risen Christ, he refused to believe until he could see the wounds for himself! How Did This Book Get Published? In the secular world the first step is to find a publisher. The publisher does the printing, distribution and all the associated costs to put a book on the shelf. This is very expensive. Few authors are ever published. If a book is published, there is no guarantee it will make money. A writer may have to make many submissions to different publishers, hoping that someone will take the risk.
Stay with me on this. What I am about to say may at first appear to have little substance or lesson to be learned. Think about each point as we go through it. The Third Covenant was submitted to five publishers. Here is what they said: The first publisher said, “You frequently put your reader on the defensive. You are telling the reader they may be going to Hell! This is not socially or politically correct. You can’t sell books that way. The book would require an extensive re-write and editing by our staff IF we accepted it.” The second publisher asked, “What are your sources and referential supports? Are you a self-proclaimed prophet?” I responded, “I AM GOD’S ADVOCATE!” “You can’t sell books that way! We can’t publish it.”
The third publisher stated, “I perceive between two and three completely different writing styles. The styles are so distinctive that it begs the question, is this work plagiarized?” “No! Who can plagiarize God?” To which the publisher says, “We would need to rewrite the entire book for constancy of style! You will have to pay us to rewrite it for you. Even then, we can’t promise it will ever be published!”
The fourth publisher stated, “The book lacks continuity. The book is crammed with generalized, conclusive or all-inclusive statements. The grammar and punctuation are horrible. It will need to be re-written. Frankly, we are not interested.”
The fifth publisher stated, “The overall tone of the book tends to place the author above others, i.e. knowledge, spirituality, spiritual experiences, etc. At the same time, the author claims humility. You appear to be playing God on the one hand and a sinner on the other. You might consider rewriting it and submitting it again.”
They were, in their own right, quite correct. The Third Covenant was all of those things. In desperation, I quit. I quit trying. What do these publishers want?
PUBLISHERS ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN SELLING BOOKS. NO ONE CAN BLAME THEM. WHAT I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WAS WHY WOULD A WORK OF THIS IMPORTANCE GO IGNORED? I WOULD FIND OUT LATER. THE ANSWER WAS OBVIOUS. I WAS NAIVE.
THE CONTENT IS NOT IMPORTANT AS LONG AS IT CAN BE EDITORIALIZED AND SENSATIONALIZED ENOUGH TO GAIN AN AUDIENCE. IN THE VAST MAJORITY OF CASES, MOST RELIGIOUS BOOKS ARE HIGHLY EDITORIALIZED.
GOD IS NOT INTERESTED IN SELLING BOOKS; HE IS INTERESTED IN SAVING OUR SPIRITS AND HELPING US WITH OUR DAILY LIVES!
THESE TWO FACTORS ARE IN DIRECT OPPOSITION TO ONE ANOTHER!
I learned this by first-hand experience. Rejection is a horrible thing. We all hate to be criticized. Look at what they said to me: Don’t put the reader on the defensive. Don’t tell him he might be going to Hell. You must be socially and politically correct. You must have sources and references to support your statements. You may not admit that you are a prophet or anything else. You cannot have three writing styles in the same book. You cannot publish a book that appears plagiarized. Even if it is not! You must have continuity. A book cannot contain generalized, conclusive or all-inclusive statements. Grammar and punctuation may be more important than content. You may not publish a book if the author appears to place himself above others and at the same time claims to be humble. A writer should never imply that he is playing God.
My own human weakness and frailty started to take on a life of their own. I was afraid. I was lost. I did not to know what to do. I began to fall into the PRAYER TRAP! I started worrying about what the world might think. I tried to rewrite The Third Covenant, changing it and incorporating the ideas of the publishers. I WAS INCAPABLE OF DOING IT. I quit praying. I quit writing. I did not know what to do. I did not go to church. I became depressed. THE MIRACLES WERE GONE!
Then an idea popped into my head. Pat Croes is a friend who I deeply love. She is a beloved Disciple of Jesus Christ. She is also well-educated and a competent editor. I asked her, and she volunteered to help me. After several weeks she wrote me a letter. Her first concern was for my feelings and our friendship. The news was not good. Her appraisal matched the publishers almost item for item with two exceptions. She did not mention making money and she did not feel she was qualified to change the message in the text. For some unknown reason, I was elated. Somewhere in her words, she touched a cord in my heart. I do not know what or how, only that she did!
THE VOICE OF THE LORD Then it happened. God came to me in a dream. It was vivid to the smallest of details. The Lord said,
It was hard to go to sleep that night. When I woke up, I felt as if I was on fire. It was 2 A.M. I started praying. I opened The Third Covenant. I read and prayed over each page. I waited in submission for an answer. The result was this chapter. It replaced a much shorter preface. Other answers popped into my mind like popcorn in a wild frenzy:
Then the secular world interrupted my prayers. “I have no money! God, I am completely disabled. I cannot work. My family cannot live on Social Security. Where would I get the money to do these things?” I felt like I was knocked out of a chair and thrown upon the ground. I heard a very loud and pronounced voice:
I was shattered. Once again, I felt so inadequate. Here I was, I had received God’s Word. I had many miracles in my life. I thought I understood. How could I have fallen into the trap again? I had broken every rule of The Third Covenant in one stroke.
Do you see how we fail? Do you see why we fail? We must begin with thoughts, ideas or needs. I call them dreams. If we lose our ability to dream, we lose everything. If my dreams are evil, will God answer? If I do not dream, what is there to answer? If my dreams are good and consistent with the Will of God, I can have hope in the future. How many people in our world have real hope in the future? It is because they have forgotten how to dream. If you dream and have hope in the future, you must have faith in God’s promises. Jesus Christ’s Covenant holds forth those promises. We must have faith in Christ, Jesus. By way of faith we come to believe. Those who believe, learn how to trust God for His promises. When we believe and trust, we learn how to love God. We must have dreams, hope, faith, belief, trust, and love of God. We must unconditionally commit and surrender to God’s Will. We must claim God’s answers to our prayers and give Him thanks and praise. GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF US. HE DOES ANSWER OUR PRAYERS.
Shortly after the book was completed, I found a computer program which could handle most of my spelling, grammar and punctuation problems. In essence an “editor” who would leave the writing alone, while making it easier to read. How great He is! I also found two individuals who would help me in my work. W hat is Christ’s Third Covenant? The Answer to Prayer THE PRAYER: We must have a thought, idea or dream. We must know what we are praying for, why we are praying and whether our prayer is in union with God’s Will. WE MUST HOPE IN GOD! When there is no hope in the future, there is no work in the present. If we do not work in the present, there will be no future.
WE MUST HAVE FAITH IN GOD and the future He offers us! Even when we feel like the world has turned against us, we must never give up our faith in God. God has never given up His faith in us. He had enough faith to send His Son into this world to bring us the forgiveness of sin, power over our lives and everlasting life. WE MUST BELIEVE GOD! This is a harder task. Man is, by nature, skeptical and pessimistic. Whatever we do not believe, we will not do. We must believe in God’s love for us and His willingness to help us.
WE MUST TRUST GOD! This is even harder than believing. Man is even more distrustful than he is skeptic. There is an old saying, “Trust no one.” If we do not trust God, we are offending the one who is asking us for our trust. If we do not trust God, what are we saying to Him?
WE MUST LOVE GOD! God loves us whether we love Him or not. However, if we do not love God, what do we love? God’s first commandment is:
Our love of God gives us His Power and gains our entrance into God’s Kingdom. If we do not love, we are not His Children. Unless we reconcile ourselves to Him, we will be lost to the dark side of the world and pay for it with the damnation of our spirits. WE MUST COMMIT TO THE LORD! Commitment is a word of action. It means we pledge ourselves to the Lord. It is binding and obligating ourselves to God. Once again, most contemporary people are not much on commitment. We do not like making promises or living up to obligations. God is completely committed to us. COMMITMENT IS NOT A ONE WAY STREET! Without a commitment from us, there is nothing waiting for us unless we reconcile ourselves with Him. WE MUST SURRENDER TO GOD! This is one of the most difficult aspects of Christ’s Third Covenant. It means that we relinquish control of our lives to God. Surrender is not a word of action. It is a word of submission to the Will of God. We concede to God. We accept His Judgment with joy in our hearts. Whenever you make a decision in life, do not do as mankind would do, ask yourself what Christ would do. Then surrender your actions to the Will of God.
WE MUST CLAIM THE ANSWERS TO OUR PRAYERS IN GOD’S NAME: We must give God the credit for answering our prayers. It is just and right to give God proper recognition. This will help us in our future prayers. God will see our sincerity. Equally important is that YOU MUST RECOGNIZE that your prayer has been answered. Each time our prayers are answered, we become stronger and steadier in our faith. We will even be able to rejoice and praise God for the trials of our lives. We will be able to see them as being good for us.
WE MUST HAVE PATIENCE: Patience is good for us. It builds strength of character in us. It helps us to be persistent, strong and steady in our prayers. We MUST persist in our praying until we receive an answer. When we do this, God imparts more of the Holy Spirit into our lives. We feel His warmth within us. We know all is well. God is with us.
WE MUST OFFER THANKSGIVING: Whenever we receive a gift we should give thanks out of common courtesy. We tend to ignore this. God answers our prayers we become “brain dead.” We forget God. It seems we have a bad habit of remembering Him when we want something from Him and forgetting Him when we get it. Most people who receive a present or gift from another person usually make a big deal over it. These same people forget to thank God for His Gifts. If we do not appreciate what He has done for us, we are rejecting God. All the good that has been done is compromised. What does a thankless child receive from his father? The Lord quickly tires of His ungrateful children. Why did God create us?
Confirmation is the process by which we determine whether God is answering a prayer, giving us guidance or that we are in harmony with God’s Will. Entire books have been written on this subject. Their objective is to teach us how to hear whispers. We Christians are overwhelmingly unable to see or hear the shouts and clanging of cymbals, let alone the whispers.
The best Biblical example of confirmation comes from the book of Judges. Gideon was chosen by God to save his nation from the Midians. Gideon was afraid to lead his people. He asked GOD to PROVE it to him!
It happened as Gideon had said. Gideon still did not believe. He asked God to do it the other way around. He begged God not to be angry with him. It happened as Gideon had asked. He submitted to the Will of God. He defeated the Midians. Read Judges 6:33 through 7:25 for the full impact of this scripture.
There are many who argue whether Gideon was testing God or asking God for help and encouragement. This story was selected for that reason. There are many who argue this point. It does not occur to them that both sides are right and both sides are wrong. Normally this kind of prayer for confirmation IS PUTTING GOD TO THE FOOLISH TEST. In Gideon’s case the fate of an entire nation was at stake. He did not want to make the wrong decision. He wanted to know that his actions would be in harmony with God’s own Will. HE WAS SUBMITTING TO GOD.
Confirmation means the events in our lives line up to confirm whether God is answering our prayers, giving us guidance or that we are in harmony with God’s Will. It may take many forms such as verification, signs and corroboration. We may receive as few as one major confirmation or a number of smaller confirmations. WE SHOULD DO NOTHING WITHOUT GOD’S CONFIRMATION! A friend of ours was thinking of looking for a new job. One Sunday, his pastor gave a sermon on changing jobs. It was NOT a part of our friend’s custom to look at the want ads; that day he did. A large display ad caught his attention. It was just what he wanted. He prayed to God. He asked for guidance. He had never discussed it with his wife. He asked her what she thought and she responded, “It’s about time you woke up!” He applied for job. He got the job and at significantly higher pay! THAT IS CONFIRMATION!
Today, most of God’s guidance and confirmation comes to us from the Word of the Lord. This is the Bible. Unfortunately, the Bible is very long and complex. It is filled with continuity and discontinuity. It is generalized and/or all-inclusive. Many different voices speak. This tends to separate ideas and concepts. They are all God’s voice. Even if a person reads the Bible three or four times, he may still be unable to connect with God’s message.
When the Lord revealed His plan to me, I was stunned and afraid. I would be His ADVOCATE! I thought, perhaps I am going out of my mind. I hid from His Will. Then He told me:
I fully surrendered and committed myself to the Lord and the work He had in mind for me. God began to speak. He was everywhere. He was in my thoughts. He was in my pain. He was in my suffering. He was in my prayers. He was in my dreams. He was in visions. He was in chance encounters of many kinds. He was in ethereal manifestations. He sent many Angels! Suddenly it was as if the entire Bible opened before me. I did not know book or verse (I still don’t), but I almost found confirmation for everything the Lord was telling me. It was living dynamic proof that I was in communion with God.
Where I could not find confirmation in the world, God would come to me in POWERFUL WAYS. His confirmation came from Heaven. I will share these with you later.
This is why The Third Covenant takes on so many voices, natures, forms, and styles. It is why the publishers of the secular world rejected it. They would reject every book of the Bible if it were submitted by a contemporary writer! Disciples of Christ All mankind is called to become Disciples of Jesus Christ. This should not be mistaken to mean the church called “Disciples of Jesus Christ.” To clear up any confusion we will refer to it as Disciples of Jesus Christ. Many come, few are chosen! Many call themselves Christians. They are actually pseudo-Christians, secular Christians, politically correct Christians, or socially correct Christians. This has little relationship to being a true Disciple of Jesus Christ. What is a true Disciple?
If you love God, you must love all that is of God. The universe, our galaxy, our solar system, our planet, our country, our state, our city, our street, and all that are in, on or around it. It is all God’s! Do you love God and that which is of God? “...THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT IS SIMILAR: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.” (LAB Matt. 22:38-39)
Who is your neighbor? Your neighbor is all humanity! God leaves NO ONE OUT! Do you leave out or exclude anyone? One of Satan’s commandments is, “You must be filled with prejudice and hate.” How can you tell who is of Christ and who is of Satan?
Christ’s Commandment “YOU DIDN’T CHOOSE ME! I CHOSE YOU! I APPOINTED YOU TO GO AND PRODUCE LOVELY FRUIT ALWAYS, SO THAT NO MATTER WHAT YOU ASK FOR FROM THE FATHER, USING MY NAME, HE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU. I DEMAND THAT YOU LOVE EACH OTHER, FOR YOU GET ENOUGH HATE FROM THE WORLD! BUT THEN IT HATED ME BEFORE IT HATED YOU.” (LAB John 15:16-18) This is a little more complex. If you are a Disciple of Jesus Christ, you are appointed to go out and produce fruit. What is fruit? It is more Disciples of Jesus Christ. Do you produce fruit? What else does Christ say? HE DEMANDS THAT WE DISCIPLES LOVE ONE ANOTHER! DO WE? We Christians have a long history of rejecting or even hating one another. Is this consistent with the Will of God? Who said it? He is God. He is the Word. He is truth. Who and what are those who reject Christ’s Words?
In part of Christ’s response to the question, He tells us to love one another as we do ourselves. This scripture is very different. CHRIST DEMANDS THAT EACH OF HIS DISCIPLES LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS MUCH AS CHRIST LOVES THEM. The sectarian nature of the contemporary Christian Church all but invalidates Christ’s demand! All Disciples are Christians. Not all “Christians” are Disciples! SEE EVERYTHING THROUGH THE EYES OF JESUS! BECOME CHRIST-LIKE IN ALL YOU DO! WHENEVER YOU MAKE A DECISION, DO NOT DO WHAT MAN WOULD DO, DO WHAT CHRIST WOULD DO.
Purpose The words of this chapter, “The Voice of God,” are deceptively easy to understand. They are almost impossible for some people to believe. These are words of belief and faith. God’s active intervention in most people’s lives seems to be distant and remote. We are all natural skeptics. I was. It happened just as I have said. YOU MUST ACCEPT ME AT MY WORD, FOR THE TIME BEING. The Lord will open your eyes and you will see and understand.
To live by the Laws of God is mankind’s greatest challenge and biggest obligation. I, as God’s ADVOCATE, do not understand everything the Lord has revealed to me. No matter how hard I try, I keep forgetting. No matter how hard I try not to sin, I keep on sinning. The Third Covenant will not stop you from sinning. We are all sinners. We always will be sinners. Nothing can change that. It is a part of who we are. To deny our sin is worse than sinning itself.
The Third Covenant shows us how God judges us and how we may judge ourselves (not others)! God knows we sin, even when we do not know we are sinning. The Third Covenant reveals how GOD SEES OUR SIN. IT REVEALS HOW GOD JUDGES US. Our goal is to know when we are sinning and how hard we can fight not to sin. This is how Christ is going to judge us. HOW HARD WE TRY NOT TO SIN IS THE TRUE SECRET TO THE FORGIVENESS OF SIN AND ENTRY INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD! IT IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT TO GAIN THE ANSWER TO OUR PRAYERS AND TO EXPERIENCE MIRACLES! This is God’s purpose for The Third Covenant. It is the most important Christian work since the 27 Canons of Church in 397 A.D.
You will never be the same after reading the Covenant. Your Life WILL CHANGE! THAT IS A PROMISE FROM
GOD! Before reading The Third Covenant, you will need to understand some of the mechanics of the Covenant. You must approach it with a completely opened mind. Do not allow any beliefs, preconceived notions or prejudices to interfere with its message. Allow yourself to come to it with a humble willingness and eagerness to learn and understand the truth. The Covenant is the TRUTH! Christ said, “Suffer the little children not to come unto Me.” You must clear your mind of regretting the past and fearing the future. Live within each moment as a child. Allow Jesus Christ to tell you HIS STORY. NOT THE STORY TOLD BY MAN, BUT GOD HIMSELF.
Do not jump around. I have already revealed the many flaws you may encounter. The Third Covenant is very intense and may be heavy to read. Each chapter is intentionally short, for quick review. It is carefully balanced to help you understand. You must read with your heart, not your mind. YOUR MIND WILL BLIND YOU FROM SEEING THE TRUTH! If you have a problem understanding, read the chapter and/or scripture over until you understand it. You must learn the lesson and understand with your heart before proceeding. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH: FEEL IT IN YOUR HEART--DO NOT LEARN IT WITH YOUR MIND!
There are moments when God inspires understanding in minutes. These are things we cannot explain in entire books! There are simply no human words that can completely convey the lesson to be learned. I am human. God’s message is clear. This is not a novel and it is most certainly not fiction. It is a “How-To Book”:
It is also a workbook and study guide. It is not a book to be read once and put up on the shelf. It should be the focus of your beliefs. Like the Bible, it must be studied and learned. If you do not use it in this manner, you will slip back into your OLD WAYS.
The style is somewhat militant. Do not allow this to discourage you. YOU WILL have moments when you will know the words you are reading were meant for you. By the same token, it spares no one. Some things may make you very unhappy and even angry. Your faith may even be challenged. You must anticipate this from the beginning. It will attack some parts of your belief system. It will do so because there is NO CHURCH ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH THAT ACCEPTS ALL OF THE TEACHINGS OF THE THIRD COVENANT OF JESUS CHRIST. Accordingly, it will step on everyone’s toes. Remember this. Neither the Sadducees nor Pharisees could nor would believe Jesus. They refused to listen to what He had to say. Their minds were closed. Their eyes clouded. Their ears were deaf to the truth. What would it have hurt if they had just HEARD THE MAN? I can tell you with absolute certainty, if those men did not repent, they were destined for HELL! Are you listening? You may have to face the same decision. Is this hard language? Guilty! Is this absolute certainty? Guilty! Judgmental? Guilty! Am I the one who is saying this? No! The greatest sin of all is hearing and not believing. That is God’s Law, not mine. Sometimes the truth hurts. The truth sets men free. This is God’s purpose. He wants you to be free! He wants you to wake up every morning with a song in your heart. Jesus Christ is Lord! Some of us may find this to be a difficult task. Some will be awakened with lighting bolts. Many will not believe. Some portions of The Third Covenant will be repeated. Some people cannot stand this. These points are intentional and necessary. It is what God wants you to hear with your heart. Our minds are easy to reach. Our hearts are harder to reach than our minds. Hearing things over in different ways or circumstances helps in reaching the heart. The purpose of this book is your individual salvation and forgiveness of your sins. It is also about receiving answers to prayers and even miracles. It answers many of the inconsistencies and closely held secrets of the Christian Church. It reveals the secrets of the Church. Secrets that have been locked away for centuries. Cover-ups are exposed. It reveals the primary reason for the division of most of the largest Christian churches. It is purely political and or intellectual. It has little or nothing to do with God! Its purpose is to also search for the Disciples of Jesus Christ, the “Chosen Ones,” who are already upon the face of the earth. The Covenant is a mighty trumpet blast that calls the faithful to spread the Good News around the world. These “chosen ones,” of God, will know who they are and all of their questions will be answered. They will understand that this is the beginning and not the end. They will dream dreams such as man has never dreamed. They will bring hope to a world that has lost its optimism in the future. As I finished this page the Lord instructed me to say:
